Join us for a weekend of festivities to mark the 100 year anniversary of Bencubbin.
Gazetted as a town site in 1917, Bencubbin will be celebrating its centenary with an array of events and activities over the 27th & 28th of October 2017. The programme for the weekend is being drafted but as a sneak peak, the following are some of the things you can look forward to;
Walking Tours – Past community members will enjoy visiting significant buildings within the township and viewing the displays of how they’ve developed through the years.
Art Wine & Cheese Evening – The Bencubbin P&C will be host to an eclectic collection of art mediums; painting, drawing & photography, that together embody This Great Land that we live in. The exhibition will open on Friday evening, be sure to follow ‘Bencubbin Art Wine Cheese’ on Facebook to keep up to date.
Markets on Monger – The Main St will be the place to be on Saturday, with a range of delights on show from various local and regional stall holders.
Tales of the Town – Past & present community members will be invited to retell their special memories of Bencubbin in a Saturday afternoon story time hour.
Family free entertainment – Think bouncy castles, face painting, amusements, car displays and more!
Street Party – The festivities will continue from the day into the evening, with delicious food vans and live entertainment taking us late into the evening.
